Lanyard-type Parachute Canopy Release

The Capewell lanyard-type parachute canopy release is a hand-activated mechanical device for detaching the parachute harness from the canopy. Its simple, easy operation offers paratroopers quick, safe disengagement from the canopy.

The Capewell Parachute Release U.S. Government Approved

The Capewell Release was developed in response to paratroopers needs for a release device that would quickly free them from the parachute canopy upon landing. The Capewell Release is utilized by the U.S. militaries and foreign and commercial customers worldwide.

Specifications & Quality Assurance

The Capewell Parachute Canopy Release is drop forged steel, constructed for superior strength, and cadmium plated for increased corrosion resistance. The max load of the unit is 9000 lbs. Each component undergoes 100% inspection and each finished release is subjected to a 5000 lbs (2268 kg) pull test. All parachute hardware is manufactured under stringent ISO 9001 quality control standards.
